Biography

LERA NIBIRU (b. 1981, Leningrad). Painter, graphic artist, creates objects, videos, installations. Since 2009 Lera takes nick-name Nibiru and focuses on graphic art and mixed media objects. Inheriting the tradition of Moscow conceptual school Nibiru creates total installations which include puppets and monumental frescos, as well as delicate works on paper or narrative albums of small format. Following the concept of psychodelic realism suggested by Pavel Pepperstein, works of Lera Nibiru can remind childish dreams but at the same time reproduce images from deep sensual phantasms. She interested of the borderline and transition phenomenon, the ecstasy states, cosmogenic theories.

Lera also works on author`s animation and documentary films, music videos.
