In the 13th season of the Cosmoscow International Fair, the Marina Gisich Gallery team will present a cross-section of Russian contemporary art of the last quarter of a century through the prism of the unique artistic paradigm of the leading St. Petersburg gallery.
The main stand dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Marina Gisich Gallery will become a kind of curatorial platform for displaying the latest and rare art objects by the gallery's leading authors. The space will be organized in the form of thematically separate solo zones, each of which reveals the individual handwriting of a separate author. Throughout the fair, the team will change the exhibition in a performative format, maintaining a lively dialogue between the works and the audience.
At the same time, large-scale graphic sheets of the creative duo Dmitry Gretsky and Evgenia Katz from the new CARGO Fairy Tale series will be shown at the Marina Gisich Projects stand. The practice of artists Dmitry Gretsky and Evgenia Katz over the years has been associated with the disclosure of the properties and possibilities of "pencil" drawing. The CARGO Tale project can be seen as episodes of a multi-part story by Gretsky and Katz. With the help of figurative graphics, the artists show two characters who, as if they were on the deck of a motorboat, spend time in the enclosed space of the garage, creating staged scenes of self-forgetful leisure.
