«The First Avant-Garde Factory»continues its collaboration with major Russian contemporary artists and collectors. The original projects presented in Ivanovo are significant events not only for the Ivanovo region but also for the latest Russian art as a whole.
«Heart» — a project by the renowned Russian artist Ivan Gorshkov, will open at the Art Space of the Ivanovo Railway Station on Thursday, September 19. The exhibition space will become a prototype of a secret place: a laboratory, a greenhouse, an alchemist's or a wizard's workshop. At the center of the exposition are huge breathing and pulsating aerofigures — giant clusters of fabrics and Ivanovo chintz. Within these living beings, created from material so characteristic of our city, hide numerous amazing characters and secrets; thus, faceless piles of fabric transform into a delicate and elusive ecosystem.
«Delicacy» — an abstract inflatable sculpture. In 2021, the sculpture adorned the facades of buildings in Basel, Switzerland, during one of the world's largest art fairs, ART BASEL. Artist Ivan Gorshkov inflated the work daily in different locations — the bright sculpture «peeked out»from the windows of residential buildings in various districts of the city and even from a school. Thus, «Delicacy» became a series of interventions in the city's public spaces. Today, the sculpture is part of Zoya Galeeva's collection and is exhibited in the Atrium of the «Silver City» shopping mall as part of the VI Festival of Contemporary Art «The First Avant-Garde Factory» with the personal participation and support of collector Zoya Galeeva.
