The exhibition of the gallery's two stands (stands B03 and B09) will feature new works by Kirill Chelushkin, Maria Koshenkova, Peter Shvetsov, Dmitry Gretsky and Evgenia Katz. All these artists today live outside of Russia (France, Denmark, USA, Canada), and the dynamic interpenetration of different cultures and optics is reflected in the work of each of them in their own way.
Artists work in various media: Shvetsov remains a consistent apologist for painting, Gretsky and Katz in recent years have focused on creating monochrome graphic sheets and objects from a chain-link grid, Koshenkova conducts a dialogue with the fragile nature of glass, and Chelushkin in his new series "A Strong Beast hunts alone", created in a Paris workshop in 2026. He turns to landscape motifs, working in his usual graphite technique on canvas, but with active inclusion of color.
The formal dissimilarity of the languages creates tension, which makes the space of the stands alive. Gathered into a single ensemble, the works do not contradict each other; rather, they seem to “illuminate” one another — thus, a common field emerges, where the whole sounds louder and deeper than each work individually. For us, this project is also valuable because it clearly demonstrates that distance does not break connections. The geography has changed, but the dialogue with Russia and the internal assembly point remain here, with us.
