ARTISTS OF THE MARINA GISICH GALLERY IN THE EXHIBITION "IN TRANSIT " AT THE FABERGE MUSEUM. 2026

2 april 2026-16 april 2026

The Faberge Museum is opening an exhibition of contemporary Russian artists "ON THE ROAD / IN TRANSIT", which will be held as part of the First International Transport and Logistics Forum and is dedicated to an integral part of human life – transport. Transport as an object of image has long been present in the creative practices of artists. He appears in art as an organic part of the overall picture of existence, as an artistic image, as an individual reflection of the authors. The purpose of the exhibition is not to retell a short course in the history of transport: most of the works are not intentional, they are not art documentation of certain types and patterns of transport.

The exhibition has several conditional sections: "Pages of history", "Transport of the USSR era", "Modern Realism", "St. Petersburg romantic Expressionism", Contemporary art. Each section has its own finds, rarities, and unique iconic works. Contemporary art is one of the most diverse sections. There are paintings by famous representatives of modern St. Petersburg art Alexander Dashevsky, Alexander Morozov, Andrey Rudyev, and large-format photos of the hero of the art scene of the 1990s Oleg Kulik, graphics by Peter Bely, Leonid Tskhe and other artists.
