Pop/off/art Galleries and Marina Gisich Gallery present Vitaly Pushnitsky's exhibition "Studios. Waiting" in the Suite of the Shchusev Museum of Architecture. The project is dedicated to understanding the image of the artist's studio, the space that connects architecture and the artist's work from the moment of conception to the formation of the artwork.
For the first time, the project brings together a series of works created by the artist from 1998 to 2024. The works are collected from more than 30 Russian museum and private collections, including the AZ Museum, the EKATERINA Cultural Foundation, the collections of Shalva Breus, Denis Himilain, Irina and Anatoly Sedykh and others.
The aim of the project was to understand the mutual influence of architecture and society, architecture and personality through the dialogue of the artist's painting practice and the museum space. In the center of the exhibition is a series of works by Vitaly Pushnitsky "Studio", the plot of which is the artist's workshop as a collective image.: This is not just a "portrait" of the studio owner, but a field of action where ideas are born. The works presented at the exhibition are diverse in format and painting technique, but are united by a common philosophical reflection on the creative process taking place in various spatial dimensions, on the verge of the physically tangible and illusory.
The exhibition "Studios. Waiting" will not only show the connections of different types of art, but will also be a study of the influence of architectural spaces on the person existing in them.
